Order Processing Times

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days.
Orders are not shipped on weekends or Canadian holidays.

During peak seasons, processing may take slightly longer. If we anticipate a significant delay, we will notify you by email.

Shipment Confirmation & Tracking

Once your parcel ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details.
Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking to become active.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Canadian Customers

No duties, tariffs, or additional customs fees. Your order ships directly from Alberta.

U.S. Customers

In previous years, orders under $800 USD entered duty-free under the de minimis exemption.
This exemption has now been removed for shipments from Canada.

As a result:

  • All U.S. orders are now subject to import duties, regardless of value.

  • Canadian-made face and body oils currently face a 35% tariff under U.S. trade policy.

  • Beauty tools manufactured in China may also carry additional duties.

To keep things simple, we have created a $25 USD flat-rate shipping fee that includes:

✔ Cross-border shipping
✔ Tracking
✔ Courier brokerage fees
✔ All applicable duties collected upfront

This means no surprise charges upon delivery.

We use a certified tariff calculator that automatically applies the correct U.S. Customs rates. Velvette does not keep any portion of these fees — they go directly to U.S. Customs and the courier handling your parcel.

Damages & Lost Shipments

Once your parcel is handed to the courier, it is under their care. While Velvette is not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in transit, we understand how stressful this can be.
