Over the past eight years, we’ve learned so much about what it takes to keep our oils as fresh, pure, and effective as possible — and we’ve made a few thoughtful updates to honor that commitment.
💛 Amber Glass Bottles
We loved our original clear glass — it let the natural tones of our oils shine through. But after deeper research, we learned that transparent glass leaves oils vulnerable to sunlight and oxidation.
Because each bottle can last months when used properly (just 3–6 drops a day), we wanted to protect the integrity of every single drop. Amber glass filters out damaging wavelengths of light, helping preserve freshness and potency for the entire life of the bottle.
🌿 A Safer, Softer Dropper Tip
You might also notice a new shape on the dropper tip — it’s now gently rounded instead of sharp. While elegant, our previous tips were occasionally prone to chipping during transport, which didn’t meet our standards for safety or quality.
We’re committed to keeping our packaging fully recyclable, so plastic wasn’t an option — but this new glass tip is both secure and durable, while still delivering the perfect drop every time.
✨ Why We Said Goodbye to Travel Sizes
We know how convenient our smaller bottles were for sampling — but here’s the truth: once customers tried Velvette, they didn’t go back. Over 90% of our sales were for the full-size bottles.
Rather than producing more packaging for smaller sizes, we decided to simplify and focus entirely on what our customers truly love — our full-size, long-lasting oils.
